Greg Jennings Rumors: Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Saints, Carolina Panthers, Jaguars Free Agent Targets After Vikings Release?

Greg Jennings is now the top free agent wide receiver on the market after Michael Crabtree signed with the Raiders and teams like the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars and a return to the Green Bay Packers could be potential options for the veteran wideout after he was released by the Minnesota Vikings.

According to Pro Football Talk, Jennings met with the Jaguars this week in Jacksonville and he has previously met with the Panthers and Dolphins. Michael Crabtree has signed with the Oakland Raiders and that means Jennings likely will not be heading to the Bay Area. The Dolphins may circle back now on Jennings, as the two sides met last week and did not agree on a deal and that came after Crabtree had met with the club.

Crabtree signed a deal worth $3 million and an extra $2 million in potential incentives, according to ESPN. The Miami Herald reported last week that Crabtree rejected an offer near $3 million from the Dolphins. Jennings now could be in line for a deal, as he is a bit older and could be a bit cheaper than Crabtree on the market. Jennings is also a target for the Ravens, who lost Torrey Smith in free agency to the San Francisco 49ers.

Jennings comes in after playing in all 16 games last season and he had 59 catches for 742 yards and six touchdowns. Over the past two seasons Jennings has had 10 touchdowns for the Vikings and has only missed one game. A return to Green Bay is an option, but after the Packers brought back Randall Cobb, the wideout position is not a main concern.

Earlier in the offseason reports said that the Dolphins have not "ruled out" Jennings after the sides could not agree to a deal and now he could be a target with Crabtree signed in Oakland. Jennings could be a good fit with Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills for the Dolphins, who have Ryan Tannehill coming back after his best season.

The team also was looking into Wes Welker, as Pro Football Talk reported last week that the receiver met with the Dolphins. Welker previously started off with Miami before his productive years in New England and he was with the Broncos for the past two years. Welker had a down year by his standards last season and at 34 years old he is not a number one option anymore. Welker dealt with concussion issues last season, but he could be a solid third or fourth receiver for Ryan Tannehill in Miami.

Crabtree has been up and down in his career with the 49ers, but he could be a good low risk, high upside option with his size for the Raiders. Crabtree had 68 catches for 698 yards last season with four touchdowns and that came after he missed part of 2013 after tearing his ACL in the offseason. Crabtree had his best season in 2012 with 85 receptions for 1105 yards and nine touchdowns and the Raiders could look at him as a third starting receiver for Derek Carr.
