Gareth Bale will be ready to go for Real Madrid in the match and that is big for the team in the Champions League QF match, as they want to get off to a good start. Ronaldo has been playing well and Bale is now 100 percent after dealing with some issues and it comes after he scored the goal for the team last season in the final. Bale has been up and down at times this year, but now he has the chance to make everyone forget about that if they can get a win here.
Bale signed a record deal with the team in 2013 and he comes in after missing the last La Liga match for the team while dealing with a thigh issue. The team has James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos coming back from a suspension and that makes the lineup even strong. Atletico will get back Mario Mandzukic and they also should have Raul Garcia in the match.
Bale has appeared in 27 games this season and has started 27 in La Liga and he has 13 goals compared to 15 last year. Real Madrid is moving up and they are within a couple points of Barca, who will play against Paris Saint Germain in one of the other Champions League matchup. Real won the 10th European Cup last year from this competition and now they are hoping to do it again.
Atletico has played very well against Real over the past stretch, as the team won the Super Cup open match and they also have won twice against the team in La Liga. The rest of the matchups include Juventus taking on Monaco, while Paris SG and Barca play on Wednesday with Porto and Bayern Munich for the other side of bracket.
Real Madrid comes into the match at second on the La Liga table and they are looking to try and keep form as the season moves along. The team has won their last three matchups in La Liga and that included a 9-1 win against Granada. The team has outscored opponents 14-1 in the last three games, but they last lost to Barcelona and that was 2-1 at the end of March. The team now has another tough team to deal with from La Liga, although this will be in the UCL.
Bale has been the subject of rumors once again, but he is taking it in stride and he said that he wants to be with Real. The team is hoping that Bale and Ronaldo step up and that would set things up for a big second leg match heading back to Real's home territory.
