The NHL playoffs schedule opens on Wednesday and Thursday for the first round and the matchups are on TV from the NBC Sports Network, USA Network and NHL Network to start things off and the teams in action include the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, NY Islanders, Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, Vancouver Canucks, Flames and Predators on night one.
The schedule opens up with the Canadiens hosting the Senators in an all-Canada series and that will be on the NHL Network. The second game has the Islanders and Caps and that will be on USA, while the 8:30 pm ET Game 1 between the Blackhawks and the Predators is on NBC Sports Network. The late game has the Canucks and Flames and will be on USA.
The Thursday side matchups have the rest of the teams in action, including the NY Rangers hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins, which will be on NBCSN. The Rangers are favorites and the Lighting come in hot as well and they play the Red Wings on CNBC for Game 1. The Wild and the Blues play out west at 9:30 pm ET on Thursday, while the Jets and Ducks play the late game.
