US Open Women's Final: Preview, TV Schedule and Time of Serena Williams vs. Victoria Azarenka

The Women's Finals at the U.S. Open 2012 is set and Victoria Azarenka (1) will attempt to calm the force of Serena Williams (4). The action is set to being at 4:30 p.m., rain permitting. 

For Serena Williams, it will be her fifth attempt at capturing the U.S. Open. Last year, she was in the final, but was surprised by Samantha Stosur and finished as the runner-up. The last time Williams won the U.S. Open was in 2008. 

Azarenka captured this year's Australian Open and was a semifinalist at Wimbledon. This is the best performance she has given at the U.S. Open. She had been eliminated from contention by the fourth round in her her previous six U.S. Open tournaments. 

Azarenka's task will be to slow down a Serena Williams that has steamrolled through the competition ever since a disappointing and humiliating 1st round exit from the 2012 French Open. Since then Williams has refocused and destroyed her competitors. She won Wimbledon and then breezed through the Olympics in London. 

Here at the 2012 U.S. Open, Williams has yet to drop a serve. She even left Andrea Hlavackova scoreless as Williams did not allow her to win a game .

Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams have meet 10 times in the past and Williams holds the edge and momentum. Williams is 9-1 lifetime against Azarenka. 

They recently faced each other in Madrid, the semifinals at Wimbledon and London 2012. Williams has swept their season matchups. She beat Azarenka in two sets in Madrid 6-1, 6-3, Wimbledon 6-3, 7-6 and the Olympics 6-1,6-2.
