Leicester City and Chelsea are playing live on the English Premier League schedule on Wednesday and the match from King Power Stadium is on the NBC Sports Network and is streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website at 2:45 pm ET as Jose Mourinho's club tries to close out the season strong, as they are leading the EPL table.
Chelsea comes into the match with the chance to win the EPL this weekend already and that says a lot about the way they have played this year. The team has been in the lead all season and the Barclays title is as certain as it has ever been for the Blues. The team comes in with the best goal differential in the league and they have been the most consistent team in the league, allowing just 26 goals and that is the best in the EPL.
The team has the most wins and they also have a game in hand on some teams coming into this and they are already leading Arsenal by 10 points. The team can win the title this weekend, as they need three points today and three over the weekend and that will put them in line for the win. Leicester comes in having won four in a row and they are trying to win five straight league games for the first time in decades.
Chelsea has been playing very well overall and they come in looking to lock things up over the next two games to take the title this year. The team had chances to take control last year, but Chelsea could not make it and now they are basically guaranteed to win. Leicester may not have Jamie Vardy, while David Nugent and Jeffrey Schlupp are likely also out for the matchup.
Chelsea does not really need this match and that could keep Diego Costa off the field for the game while Loic Remy is dealing with an injury. Chelsea pulled a scoreless draw against Arsenal away on Sunday and while that was not the most exciting match, it was important for Chelsea to keep the Gunners from gaining any ground on them. The team now really doesn't have a chance and Arsenal leads Man City and Man United in the standings coming down to the end.
Chelsea comes in having won the last seven league games in this head to head matchup and they are looking to stop Leicester from wining five in a row. The Blues have not lost in their last 13 matches and nine of those have been wins and they could try and get another clean sheet this year after putting up a great season.
