Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson are young and deadly for any team.
The 49ers have the chance to be one of the most balanced teams in the NFL. Alex Smith is surrounded by a wide receiving unit that can haul in passes.
Vernon Davis is one of the best tight ends, Michael Crabtree has yet to breakout, but he led the team in yards passed last season and Randy Moss will look to make a comeback, proving he can still make a difference as he caught a TD last week against the Green Bay Packers.
The 49ers also possess a good running game as Frank Gore is one of the top backs in the league as well. Brandon Jacobs adds toughness to the ground team.
The Lions do not have an overwhelming defense, but for them, their offense is their best defense.
