The Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles are two of six teams that are 2-0 at the beginning of the 2012 season. Both teams face undefeated teams next Sunday. After Week 3 is done, they will be two of four that will remain perfect moving into the fourth week of the NFL.
The Falcons fly west to play the San Diego Chargers who have surprised many by kicking off 2012 with a 2-0 record and a first place spot in the AFC West.
Another team that has surprised in the West are the NFC's Arizona Cardinals. They got past the Seattle Seahaws in Week 1 and then shocked the New England Patriots with a victory in Week 2.
However, for both the Chargers and the Cardinals their perfect season will quickly come to a close.
The Eagles are dynamic with a healthy Michael Vick. Vick only trails Eli Manning for most passing yards in the NFL through the first two weeks. He has thrown 688 yards. Look for Vick to reduce his interceptions and guide the Eagles to victory.
The Eagles' can be as dominant as the Cardinals', so it will come down to the offensive production, which automatically gives the edge to the Eagles.
The Falcons have impressed to the max. They are an average defensive team in terms of points allowed, but they do not let interception opportunities slip through their fingers, just as Peyton Manning.
Matty Ryan has yet to throw an interception and the team is averaging 33.5 points a game for the 2nd most behind with Redskins and tied with the Ravens.
The Chargers have allowed the 2nd fewest ponts in the NFL, but they will have their first real test this Sunday against the Falcons. The Chargers will not know how to control Roddy White, Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez. Ryan will have a big game once again.
Game Predictions
Eagles 24-17 Cardinals
Falcons 31-23 Chargers
