NY Knicks Rumors: Justise Winslow Draft Favorite? Ty Lawson, Brandon Jennings Trade Options Over Rajon Rondo if Jose Calderon, Tim Hardaway Jr Out

The New York Knicks are considering all options when it comes to the No. 4 pick in the NBA Draft. While general manager Steve Mills admitted he was looking for something better in the NBA Draft Lottery, the No. 4 pick could bring some real talent for the Knicks. While team president Phil Jackson has made it clear that a defender is possibly the best option in the draft, could Justise Winslow be emerging as the favorite?

The Knicks will not get either Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns. According to ESPN NBA Insider Chad Ford, the Knicks are leaning towards Winslow in the draft calling the team "big fans" of the Duke forward. Ford reports the Knicks interviewed Winslow during the NBA Draft Combine and will be holding a private workout with the star in the coming weeks. The 19-year-old has strong defense despite his size while being a great perimeter shooter.

The Knicks are also getting linked to point guards in the NBA Draft. According to Ian Begley of ESPNNewYork.com, the team likes both Emmanuel Mudiay and D'Angelo Russell for the option. However, could the team acquire a point guard in a trade instead? Carmelo Anthony already told the New York Post that he wants a veteran for the starting point guard spot and Jackson might have heard him.

The Knicks could try and sign Rajon Rondo like the New York Daily News once predicted they would or they could look at trade options. According to Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post, Ty Lawson is available and will garner a lot of interest. Brandon Jennings could be an option if Reggie Jackson is re-signed by Detroit. Rondo along with Goran Dragic will have a lot of money being thrown their way. If the Knicks are out-bid a trade might be the best option.

Along with bringing in new faces, the Knicks must decide who stays and who goes on the roster. ESPN.com reports Jose Calderon is expected to be traded along with Tim Hardaway Jr. Langston Galloway is a favorite for the future while Andrea Bargnani might have done just enough to get himself a new contract for the next season.
