Andre Brown gave the New York Giants a running game for the first time in a long time. Ahmad Bradshaw, however, will be returning to the lineup and will get the start over Brown.
Bradshaw, who went out during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, missed last week's Thursday Night Football game against the Carolina Panthers. He received the okay from doctors to play and was named the starter for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
"Thanks everyone for ur thoughts and prayers," Bradshaw tweeted. "But u dnt understand, I'm Ready to rock #bigblue #health"
This is obviously not good news for Brown and fantasy owners. The only way Brown gets more carries than Bradshaw in that game is if Ahmad struggles heavily against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bradshaw earned his starting job throughout the years as he battled with Brandon Jacobs for the role. So there is no way the Giants will automatically give the job to Brown who brought running back to the Giants.
He gained 184 rushing yards in two games on 33 attempts and scored three touchdowns. Brown also flashed some ability to catch as he caught five passes for 25 yards.
Bradshaw, before getting injured, had rushed for 94 yards in 22 carries and a touchdown.
The Giants might rely more on the run now that they have two running backs. If the Giants find themselves down by the goal line they might use Brown to push in the ball for the touchdown.
I could see Brown rushing for about thirty yards and a touchdown.
