New Orleans Saints Predictions: 0-4 Start Looming For Drew Brees Against the Packers on Sunday

Sep 28, 2012 03:32 PM EDT

The worst thing that could have happened to the New Orleans Saints, okay maybe not the worst thing, but the Green Bay Packers losing last week on a botched call by the replacement referees does not help the Saints' bid to finally win their first game in 2012.

Because of the way the Packers lost to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, expect them to come out firing on all cylinders. Instead of 2-1, they are tied for the last spot in the NFC Central with the Detroit Lions and looking up at the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.

Things have looked bleak for the Saints in the first three weeks of football. Their offense has been intact. What else do you think would happen with an offense headed by Drew Brees?

Their defense has been their biggest weakness in 2012. They have allowed the most rushing yards and total yards in the league, while allowing the third most points scored per game.

Their best defensive asset is their passing defense, but even then it is not saying much as they have averaged the eighth most yards through the air in 2012.

What does poor defense and an angry/focused Packers' team mean for the Saints?

Yeah, you guess it, another loss.

The Packers almost escaped from Seattle with a victory and their defense was tough. Aaron Rodgers was sacked a gazillion times in the first half, but turned it up in the second half and had the Packers in position to win.

The Packers defense will stop the Saints' offense, but I do not think the Saints defense can keep Aaron Rodgers away from the end zone.

Score Prediction: 31-24  Packers will find a way to win.
