There are always bumps on the road in an NFL season, but the Arizona Cardinals are flying high and there is no turbulence for them in 2012. The Cardinals face the Miami Dolphins in what looks like an automatic 4-0 start for the red birds.
However, it is always weaker teams taht seam to get in the way of teams trying to go for perfection. Last season the Green Bay Packers were trumped by the Kansas City Chiefs and in 2007 the New England Patriots could not beat the New York Giants when it mattered most.
The Cardinals have gotten past tough teams in 2012. They defeated the Patriots and last week an formerly undefeated team in the Philadelphia Eagles. They walked out victorious in both matchups, but completely obliterated Michael Vick.
With the defensive show they put on last Sunday, if duplicated, the Cardinals should be well on their way to a perfect 4-0 season at the start of 2012.
Ryan Tannehill is still getting the hang of the NFL, unfortunately, the Cardinals are not a team a rookie quarterback will want to face, especially with the Dolphins playing on the road.
This one will be interesting however. What exactly will be the mind frame of the Cardinals going into this game. Will they get confident and let the Dolphins, the weaker opponent, simply make mistakes or will they come out with the same tenacity and intensity as they did in Weeks 2 and 3 and immediately crush the Dolphins?
Without a doubt, the Cardinals will need Kolb to step up. Ryan Tannehill almost helped the Dolpins begin their season 2-1, but a missed field goal cost them those hopes.
The Cardinals have to jump out early in this one, the Dolphins have nothing to lose.
