NBA Trade Rumors: Phoenix Suns Push DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe Trade with Sacramento Kings? NY Knicks Option After Langston Galloway, Jose Calderon Doubt

The Phoenix Suns are getting very active in the NBA trade market heading into the draft on Thursday. Last year, the Suns' big move was signing Eric Bledsoe to a top-dollar contract, but suddenly the point guard's future with the team might not be so certain as his name continues to emerge in trade talk. As the Suns aim for the No.4 pick in the draft from the New York Knicks, could they also be an option for DeMarcus Cousins?

According to Sean Deveney of the Sporting News, the Suns are dangling Bledsoe and the No.13 pick in the draft to the Knicks in exchange for their No.4 pick. It is unclear exactly what the Suns want with the No.4 pick, but Deveney reports that after sending away Isaiah Thomas and Goran Dragic during mid-season trades, general manager Ryan McDonough is looking to strip the roster down and rebuild. That means getting rid of a contract like Bledsoe's and gaining young talent.

Bledsoe is not an ideal fit for the Knicks with the triangle offense. While he is a quality point guard, he is a ball-dominant player with a poor outside shot. To add to the matter, Phil Jackson told the media that the Knicks were set at the point guard spot with both Langston Galloway and Jose Calderon currently sitting on the roster. So if the Knicks are not an option, could the Sacramento Kings be one?

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, George Karl wants Cousins out of Sacramento. The Kings have been reluctant to trade the top center, but the head coach is looking to move on from Cousins and will be seeking a trade before the draft. If the Phoenix Suns are serious about rebuilding, what better way to start than by acquiring an elite big man.

Fansided.com lists the Suns as a potential landing spot for Cousins considering no one on their roster is really off limits. Bledsoe would be a good place to start with a trade package since the Kings need a point guard in 2015. Markieff Morris could be added along with Alex Len who would be a solid young center to help replace Cousins. Phoenix also has plenty of draft picks including the No.13 option this year. If the Suns cannot put together a deal with the New York Knicks, making one with the Kings might be the next best move.
