Cleveland Browns Rumors: Terrelle Pryor Hurts Johnny Manziel Future as Dwayne Bowe, Brian Hartline Starters for Josh McCown? Duke Johnson, Terrance West Battle

Terrelle Pryor does not lack confidence. That is one thing no one can take away from the professional quarterback turned wide receiver who is now a part of the Cleveland Browns' roster entering training camp. Pryor is a bit of an unknown right now considering he just recently made the switch to being a receiver, but the Browns saw enough in him to give him a chance. Does he have what it takes to make the final roster.

The Browns needed more playmakers on the team, but no one expected Pryor to be thought of as one of them, at least not at the receiver position. However, after announcing he was making the position switch, the Browns signed him and now Pryor is making it clear he will be a playmaker in 2015.

"I'm going to give this slash-player deal a chance," Pryor said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. "I just want to play football. I'm a playmaker, and I believe if I can touch the ball, I can go to the house, especially if I have space. This should definitely open up some opportunities. The thing that helps me is that I played quarterback, and I know what the quarterback wants. What I've got to work on is the specifics, cutting in and out of the breaks. Athletically, I believe I can do anything on the field. When I get on the field, I may not be the best, but I always feel like I am. I bring that mindset. I work my hardest to be the best I can at that position."

According to NFL.com, there is a chance that Pryor could also see time under center. That might hurt Johnny Manziel's chances to get on the field this season. After watching what he did with the Oakland Raiders, no one can deny the player has great breakaway speed on the field and could be a game-changer for the team in desperate need of someone to take over that role. Right now, the Browns will be rely heavily on Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline to help the offense. After those two, the depth chart get a little blurry with talent.

Pressure is on younger players like Duke Johnson to step up and help both Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel. According to ESPN's Tim McManamon, Johnson appears to be the safest bet at running back over Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell thanks to his versatility on the field. Training camp will be critical for this battle. While West and Crowell combined for 1,280 yards last year, McManamon reports they are far from "top-shelf" talent. Johnson has the chance to put himself in that category during camp with the Browns.
