The Sacramento Kings have agreed to a deal with Rajon Rondo in free agency on a one year contract and this comes as the team has also come to an agreement with Marco Belinelli, signing him away from the San Antonio Spurs after losing out on Wesley Matthews.

The Kings have been pushing to sign a notable free agent this offseason and now they have agreed to deals with two players. Sacramento sent Nik Stauskas to the Sixers to clear salary cap space and that enabled them to bring in both Rondo and Belinelli. According to Marc Spears at Yahoo Sports, the Kings and Rondo have agreed to a deal worth around $10 million for a one year deal. The Kings showed interest in Rondo early in free agency, as they had been looking to improve at the point guard position.

The Kings added Belinelli on a three-year deal with ramona Shelburne reporting that he will make $19 million. Belinelli had been a solid contributor with the Spurs, but after the team signed back Danny Green it was likely that Belinelli would be gone. LaMarcus Aldridge is the top target for the Spurs and now the Kings are likely keeping DeMarcus Cousins moving forward.

Rondo reportedly wanted to sign a short term contract to help build up his value heading into next summer. The cap is expected to rise and he could end up getting a better contract next summer. Rondo could be a good fit for George Karl despite the attitude issues on both sides and he could thrive alongside Cousins and Rudy Gay. Last season Rondo was traded and his run with Dallas did not go well.
