Newcastle United will have a tough outing as they face Bordeaux at the Sports Direct Arena for the first round matchup of the Europa League at 3:05 p.m. ET.
Bordeaux have not lost in their last four European games and kicked off the group phase of the Europa League with a 4-0 beating on Club Brugge KV.
Bordeaux are expected to be without Nicolas Maurice-Belay, Gregory Sertic and Fahid Ben Khalfallah due to injuries, while Landry Nguemo is set to return for first-team duty.
Coming off their 0-0 draw with Maritimo, Newcastle has yet to secure three points in the group stage.
Manager Alan Pardew is expected to start Papiss Cisse up front, with Hatem Ben Arfa providing support at the wing. Yohna Cabaye is likely to not compete in the competition as he continues to recover from a mouth infection.
