Arsenal Transfer News: Olivier Giroud Confident of Finding Scoring Touch; Oxlade-Chamberlain Hails Team's Scoring Ability

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is loving the fact that goals from this Arsenal side can come from a number of players.

The Gunners, who face West Ham in Saturday's English Premier League game, have not had one pure goalscorer this season, with the likes of Lukas Podolski, Gervinho, Theo Walcott and a few others sharing the goals between them.

Arsenal have looked a more dynamic team after the departure of Robin Van Persie, with the Gunners not relying on one person, like they did last year, for all the goals, instead happy to share the burden between them, although the goal drought being endured by Olivier Giroud is starting to get a bit worrying from Arsenal's perspective.

"From set pieces you've got the likes of Vermaelen who can score goals, and obviously Santi can always pop up with a good goal," the young midfielder told the club's official website.

"Or myself, I need to get on the scoresheet more often I think. Theo can score, so there's goals all over the team."

Podolski and Gervinho, in particular have stepped up admirably, scoring four and five goals respectively, and Oxlade Chamberlain is not surprised by the duo's goalscoring form, having seen what they can do in training every day.

"They're brilliant players -- they can score goals and we knew they were capable of it.

"We see it in training and it's brilliant for us that it's coming out. Gervinho's scored a lot of goals in the last few games so we hope he can keep it going.

"It's really good that those boys are doing well."

One person in desperate need of a goal is Giroud, with the striker yet to score in the Premier League, having found the target only once - against Coventry City in the League Cup.

Giroud was criticized for another big miss against Chelsea last Saturday, which would have earned Arsenal a point, but the French international, who set up Aaron Ramsey's goal against Olympiakos, is confident the goals will come, eventually.

"I try (to score), I try all I can," he said. "Sometimes you need to keep the faith, to keep going. When you are a striker, sometimes it's difficult. I don't know why, but I do try to do the right thing.

"I think I'm a little unlucky. I'll keep going and continue to work hard in training. People say to me, 'the goal is coming soon, don't worry, we trust you', and it's very important for me to feel the support of people and my teammates.

"We are a good team. Although we lost against Chelsea I think it was an accident. We are confident for the future and I am confident. I don't worry about the future. The goals are coming soon."
