Oakland Raiders Rumors: Rod Streater Starter for Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree After Derek Carr Workouts as Trent Richardson, Latavius Murray Battle Roy Helu

The Oakland Raiders have a lot of confidence heading into 2015. They are stable at the quarterback position. They have veteran bodies on defense and a new star receiver to get into the endzone. The team ended offseason workouts on a high note and have carried that into the month before training camp as several players have gotten together for workouts. According to Rod Streater, the wide receiver group could be one of the best in the league.

Streater returned to the field after a foot injury limited him to just three games last season. Now he and Carr are putting in a lot of offseason work in order to help the offense truly develop. Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper have also been meeting with the quarterback as Streater believes the sky is the limit for this group of players.

"I think it's going to be an explosive year for us," Streater said on 95.7 The Game, via CSN Bay Area. "We've got Amari Cooper coming in, and he's got the size and speed to make an impact right away. When you look at the receiving corps as a whole, I believe we can all contribute and play each position. ... It's going to be hard to stop us because we can create mismatches all over the field."

Over the past three years, the Raiders have ranked 24th or worst in points scored per game. Their 11-37 record since 2012 proves those numbers. However, this year is expected to be a bit of a turnaround for the Raiders. Having Carr entering a promising second year with Cooper and Crabtree to throw to has people placing expectations on Oakland for the first time. Andre Holmes and Streater are expected to be rotational players, while Streater is favored as the No.3 guy.

Outside of the wide receivers, the Raiders made big upgrades to the running back spot. Latavius Murray is looking to earn the starting job, but he has Trent Richardson and Roy Helu to battle. According to CSN Bay Area, Richardson has lost weight and regained his quickness and agility on the field. That could end up pushing him ahead of Murray in the long run.
