Juan Mata was at his absolute best, running the show for the Blues as Fernando Torres, Frank Lampard, Eden Hazard and Branislav Ivanovic got in on the score sheet.
Chelsea remain top of the table on 19 points from seven games, four ahead of Manchester City, who won 3-0 against Sunderland in the early game. At Stamford Bridge, Norwich opened the scoring in the 11th minute, through Grant Holt, a wonderfully taken goal from the English striker. However, the lead lasted only three minutes as Fernando Torres got in on the end of a good cross from Ivanovic -- the Spanish striker powering home a header past John Ruddy.
Frank Lampard, then reminded everyone he still has got the magic touch outside the box. An attempted overhead kick from Torres inside the box, rebounded perfectly to Lampard just outside the penalty area, and the 34-year-old brought his trademark strike into play, placing the ball perfectly into the bottom corner.
Chelsea put the game to bed just past the half hour mark, Mata leading a classic counter attack, before threading a perfect through ball to Hazard, who made no mistake in slotting it past the goalkeeper.
Holt had a couple of chances - one late in the first half and the other early in the second - to reduce the deficit, but once Chelsea got back into their groove, the result was never in doubt, Ivanovic adding the gloss in the 76th minute with a well taken strike.
At the Hawthorns, QPR continued their winless run, falling to an impressive West Brom side. James Morrison and Zoltan Gera gave the home side a 2-0 lead, before Adel Taarabt cut it to 2-1 with a wonderful goal.
Youssouf Mulumbu seemingly made the points safe with five minutes to go, as West Brom held on for the win despite a late goal from Esteban Granero.
Arouna Kone and Franco Di Santo scored for Wigan while Nikica Jelavic and a late Leighton Baines penalty earned a point for Everton.
Swansea and Reading played out another entertaining draw Saturday, with Michu and Wayne Routledge giving a point for the home side, after Pavel Pogrebnyak and Noel Hunt had given Reading a 2-0 lead in the first half.
