The matchups are set for the FIFA Women's World Cup as the four teams participating in the semifinals will be Ghana, France, Korea DPR and Germany.
The matchups will be: Ghana vs. France and Korea vs. Germany.
Ghana vs. France
The French squad broke the hearts of the Nigerians as they went to the brink in the quarterfinal matchup. This one was settled by penalty shots and France won 5-3, eliminating Nigeria from the tournament.
France is headed by Lea Declerq who has scored three goals and dished out three assists in four tournaments played. Defense has been important for this group of girls as they have only allowed three goals in four matches.
Ghana defeated Japan 1-0 on a goal from Sherifatu Sumaila in minute 53 of their match. Ghana put this match away with great defense as they did not allow Japan to score a goal.
Ghana's offense usually comes from Jane Ayieyam. She has scored almost half of the squad's nine goals in the tournament. Ayieyam has four goals so far in the 2012 World Cup.
Without a doubt, this match will be all about defense. Ghana has only given up two goals in the entire tournament. France has given up three.

Korea DPR vs. Germany
Korea has to be team with the biggest offensive explosion in the tournament. They have scored a whopping 15 goals (11 of which came against Gambia) in the tournament while only allowing three. Canada did a great job keeping them off the board in their quarterfinal matchup, but Korea played defese and were able to win 2-1.
Ri Un Sim is their offensive locomotive. She scored both goals in the match against Canada and practically solidified the win with a score in minute 87. In four matches, she has seven goals.
Germany sent Brazil packing after beating them in dramatic fashion. Rebecca Knaak broke a 1-1 time in minute 90+2 of the action with a score, which ultimately gave the Germans the win.
Sara Daebritz, who scored a goal in minute 31 of the match, leads the team in offensive production as she has both the most goals scored, three, and the most assists, two, in the tournament.
Korea DPR has to be the favorite in this one, but look for the Germans to fight until the end.
