Drew Brees will look to make history and strive to lead his New Orleans Saints to their first season win as they host the San Diego Chargers at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Brees can break a record held by Johnny Unitas for over 50 years. Brees, who has passed for 29, 744 yards since joining the Saints in 2006, can set the record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass.

Unitas record of 47 straight games was matched last weekend in Green Bay Packers.

The Saints are coming off a 28-27 loss to the Packers. While the rushing attack was held to just 45 yards on 19 carries, quarterback Drew Brees threw for 446 yards on 35-of-54 passing with three touchdowns.

The passing yards were the second highest for a game in his career and Saints' franchise history. Wide receiver Marques Colston was the favored target, catching nine passes for 153 yards and a touchdown.

The Chargers are coming off a 37-20 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Quarterback Philip Rivers completed 18-of-23 passes for 209 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Running back Ryan Mathews ran the ball 14 times for 61 yards, while Jackie Battle scored the lone rushing touchdown for the Chargers.
