The Cincinnati Reds are a win away from sweeping the series from the San Francisco Giants as they take their 2-0 lead to Great American Ball Park.
Bailey is on the mound for the Reds as he is one of seven pitchers to have thrown a no-hitter this season.
The bad part about having Bailey on the mound, which the Giants do not mind, is that he has a 5.16 ERA at home. He is 4-8 in the season with a 5.16 ERA in 17 starts at home. He gave up 21 home runs in one of the most home run-friendly ball parks in baseball.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be Ryan Vogelsong who went 14-9 in 31 starts this season.
Vogelsong had a rough ending to his 2012 campaign. In his last 10 starts, he gave up 35 earned runs in 46.2 innings pitched going 4-4 with a 6.75 ERA.
The Cincinnati Reds pitching has controlled the Giants' hitting allowing only two runs in the last two games. The Giants pitching has given up 14 runs to a red hot Cincinnati batting lineup.
Brandon Phillips has been one of the key players for the Reds so far in the series. After a hit in the first inning of this ball game, he has hit safely in all three playoff games for the Reds.
