NFL Fantasy Football: Best WRs in a Contract Year Have AJ Green, TY Hilton, Alshon Jeffery Top Draft Options

Jul 21, 2015 02:19 PM EDT

AJ Green [Cincinnati Bengals]: The Bengals have yet to sign Green to a contract extension even though he is the best offensive player on the team. Green is going to prove his value to the free agent market this season. Expect him to be healthy after having a whole offseason to recover from nagging 2014 injuries and ready to have a big year.

Alshon Jeffery [Chicago Bears]: The Bears are currently rebuilding and they are focused on a lot more than just Alshon Jeffery. If Jeffery wants a big Dez like contract which is unlikely the Bears could allow him to play out the year, trade him, or let him hit free agency and compete with multiple offers. Either way Jeffery is bound to have a big season regardless of who his quarterback is.

Mohamed Sanu [Cincinnati Bengals]: Marvin Jones and Sanu are about go head to head for their next Bengals contract. There is only enough cap space to sign one of them and it is most likely going to be Sanu. Last year Sanu stepped in for an injured AJ Green and provided some pretty good games, Jones has been injured multiple times since he has been with the Bengals so expect him to be the one on the chopping block.

TY Hilton [Indianapolis Colts]: TY Hilton is probably the most likely of these four to hit free agency, it is looking less and less likely that the Colts could actually pay Hilton what he thinks he is worth. The Colts also drafted Phillip Dorsett in the offseason and depending on how he does Hilton could be focused on finding a new home. Hilton is still going to have a great season even if it may be his last with the Colts.
