Oct 09, 2012 09:53 PM EDT

The matchup is set after the semifinal round concluded on Wednesday. Korea DPR and France will hook up for the U17 World Cup trophy in Azerbaijan after defeating their opponontes.

France was the first of the two teams to advance following their victory over Ghana. They shutout the African club 2-0 with two goals from their young superstar Kadidatou Diani.

With the two goals, Diani passed Lea Declercq for the leading scorer in the club.

Her firs goal came in minute 31 in the first half and then closed the deal with a goal at minute 89.

The Koreans defeated the Germans after Kim So Hyang scored two goals in the game.  They did a good job shutting down Korea's best scorer Ri Un Sim.

So Hyang gave Korea DPR the lead with a score at minute 39.

Early in the second half So Hyang struck again with a score in minute 47.

Rebecca Knaak, the leading scorer for Germany, made things interesting with a goal in minute 59, but Korea held on for the victory.

Both teams will meet on Saturday for the championship and conclude the U17 World Cup at Azerbaijan.

Ghana and Germany will meet and try to settle for the third place spot.
