Champ Bailey has expressed his apprehension to hearing that Wes Welker is looking to play in the 2015 season. Bailey has stated "I don't want Wes to play for my own personal reasons.
I've seen him get concussions. It scares me, I think he can still play, but I don't want him to play because of these concussions. This thing is no joke. It's a serious thing when you start talking about your head. And for him to have to worry about that at a young age that he is now, he has to think about that for years to come, and I just hope he hangs it up and not strap it up again."
This obviously is not a good selling point as for Welker as a free agent, and will make teams question if he is mentally about the game of football anymore. Welker's injury history is extensive and his concussions are really what has recently become his weak point, two serious concussions in a season have forced him to either retire or put his health in more risk than it already is.
Welker is also 34 which in NFL years is basically archaic for a wide receiver (just don't tell Steve Smith that).
