Daniel Agger revealed he got a tattoo of the initials of Liverpool's anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone" because of the love for the club.
The Danish international, who, despite interest from the likes of Manchester City and Barcelona, inked a new long-term deal with Liverpool recently, said getting the tattoo on his knuckles was his way of showing his love and commitment for the Anfield club and its fans.
"I'd thought about it for a long time. As I said, I feel a part of this club -- and I feel a part of this city," Agger told the club's official website. "I have been here so long now, so it was an easy decision.
"I am proud to be here and I think my knuckles show that."
Liverpool are playing an eye-pleasing brand of football under Brendan Rodgers, and Agger admitted he was enjoying the manger's style, even if the results might not reflect the positive change.
"I am enjoying life under the new manager. I really like it and I am happy every day going into training.
"I really feel we have a good team, a good mentality and a style of good football that I want to play. I definitely believe we can get back (to the top).
"I'm not a fan of looking into the future. I take every day as it comes, but I work hard every day and try to achieve the goals I want to. It's important everybody is focused to achieve those goals.
"In terms of points, it hasn't been that good but I think we've played really well.
"We've made a few mistakes, but in general we've played good football and now we just need the results. At the end of the day, that's the most important part."
Meanwhile, Rodgers was happy to see Joe Allen get the recognition that he deserves after the Liverpool midfielder was named the 2012 Welsh Footballer of the Year. "He's had an outstanding year, Joe, hence the reason he was one of the key players I wanted to bring in here," Rodgers said. "I think the supporters already see what he brings to the team, his bravery and courage with the ball.
"He's a very humble guy and very respectful -- he knows there's still a lot of work for him to do.
"It's a wonderful honor with so many talented Welsh players like Gareth Bale, who has been one of the leading players in the world over the last few years, and also above some of the fantastic Swansea City players.
"It's great recognition for all his work, in particular in the last 18 months."
