Manchester United Transfer News: Nemanja Vidic is Not Going Anywhere, Says Agent; Rafael Reveals Special Relationship with Fans

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic's agent has dismissed the chances of his client moving to Italian champions Juventus or Spanish giants Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Vidic has been constantly kinked with a move to Italy in the past, and the reports have again surfaced with Juve reportedly looking to bring in the 30-year-old central defender to Turin, while Barca are also keeping an eye on developments.

Vidic is currently out of the Manchester United line-up with injury and is not expected to return before the end of next month. The Serbian international's Italian agent Silvano Martina, however, denied any talks over a move to Italy.

"Vidic is not playing at this time because he's had surgery, so he's only thinking about his recovery and not about the transfer market," Martina told itasportpress.it.

"Juventus are complete with their non-EU players for this season and it is highly unlikely they will make a bid for Vidic, therefore I can categorically rule out any interest from them.

"Vidic is already part of a top club and there are no negotiations with Juventus or Barcelona."

Meanwhile, Manchester United full-back Rafael said he was proud to have been voted the player of the month for September by the fans. The Brazilian right-back beat stiff competition from Paul Scholes, to become only the third defender to win the award since its inception in 2007.

"I'm very happy to win this award, especially since I found out that defenders never win it," Rafael told the club's official website. "It's just an honor to win, especially to beat Paul Scholes, and I'm very proud.

"It was a good month for me, very consistent, playing many games and of course scoring the goal at Liverpool was the high point for me. I think scoring at Anfield probably helped a lot with the voting."

Rafael also revealed the special relationship he shares with the United faithful. "It's great to win something voted by the fans," he added. "The supporters have helped me since I came here and I'm very happy with that.

"Since I arrived here, the fans have been amazing, singing songs for me or stopping me and telling me I'm a true Red.

"I've been coming here to training since I was 15 years old, a long time, so I feel like I am a true Red."
