The Detroit Tigers face the Oakland A's in Game 5 of the ALDS at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT.

The Tigers had a chance to put the series away Wednesday night as they held a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning, but the bullpen, more specifically, closer Jose Valverde, could not hold it in the end.

Coco Crisp redeemed himself further for Saturday's error and got the game winning single to right.

The Tigers look to have the advantage in Game 5 as they will send the best pitcher in baseball to the mound. Justin Verlander already shut down the Tigers in Game 1 of the series, pitching seven innings and giving up just three hits and one earned run in the outing.

Jarrod Parker will take the mound for the A's. He pitched Game 1 and got the loss despite pitching well. He went 6.1 gave up three runs, only two were earned, on seven hits, one walk while recording five strikeouts.

Prediction
The Tigers have the best pitcher in baseball on the mound, but the A's have the momentum and momentum is a pretty hard to combat.

The Tigers took the first two, but now are a game away from being eliminated.
