Philadelphia Eagles News: Tim Tebow Battles with Matt Barkley Behind Starter Sam Bradford, Backup Mark Sanchez?

Jul 31, 2015 02:43 PM EDT

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to have a heavily watched training camp, mainly because NFL fans are curious to see what Chip Kelly does at quarterback. Recently defensive starter Brandon Graham made these ridiculous statements,

"Tim Tebow is going to shock a lot of people, because he is going to make the team, and I think he will play a lot."

Tebow was looked as somewhat of a novelty, being brought in by a coach who was not sure if the trade he made for Sam Bradford was a sound one. Don't get me wrong it still looks like that however if Tebow could even become the 2nd backup quarterback I'd be shocked.

If the Eagles end up liking what they have with Tebow than they could trade Sanchez and Bradford, the main problem is that they may not get much in return. Bradford is the assumed starter but what if he gets injured, is it Tebow time once again?

Matt Barkley has been falling off the Eagle's depth chart since he was signed and Mark Sanchez was respectable last season, however they cannot win games (for Sanchez anymore), Tebow has. Still maybe it is not this simple, maybe Tebow will be a part of some special sub package only used for 2 point plays, or maybe he will be handling the reverses and fakes, either way if anyone could get something out of Tebow it's Chip Kelly.
