Seattle Seahawks News: Bobby Wagner Agrees To Contract Extension After Russell Wilson Signs Deal In Training Camp

The Seattle Seahawks have extended another one of their star players. Bobby Wagner is now the highest paid middle linebacker in the NFL signing a deal worth $43 million dollars.

After Seattle Seahawks quarterback got his mega deal, Bobby Wagner tweeted out that the Seahawks "Can't keep Everyone", but they are definitely keeping him. Wagner has become the leader of the defense as well as a member of the Legion of Boom so extending this stars contract became an absolute necessity. Wagner said

"It's definitely a weight off your shoulders off the field because off the field you think about it a lot and you wonder if you're going to be here or not going to be here but like I said I'm thankful to them for letting me be a part of this for four more years".

The Seahawks have two big players left who are not signed to long term contracts, Kam Chancellor and Bruce Irvin. It appears at this point with Chancellor holding out and being a more effective member of the defense he will most likely get paid before Irving.  The Seahawks also have to find some way to keep, Russell Okung, and Brandon Mebane who may not the biggest stars on the Seahawks but they contribute pivotal roles.
