The Fantasy Football 2015 season is about to start and for drafts coming up some RB ranks include Adrian Peterson, Le'Veon Bell, Marshawn Lynch, Joseph Randle, Lamar Miller, Carlos Hyde, Jamaal Charles and Arian Foster as some of the best starters to draft at running back for this year.
The running back position is stacked this season and Adrian Peterson is a name for owners to target early. While Peterson is coming in after missing nearly an entire season and is 30 years old, he will be playing with extra motivation and could be in a potent offense. Norv Turner has Teddy Bridgewater in year two and after adding Mike Wallace to the mix, the Vikings rushing attack could see a lot more space up front. Peterson missed 15 games last season, but the last time he played a full year he rushed for 1266 yards and double digit touchdowns.
Le'Veon Bell proved last season that he is one of the best running backs in football after the numbers he put up with the Steelers. Bell is suspended for the first two games of the season, but that should not stop owners from taking him in drafts. Bell is still a better value pick over players that will appear in all 16 games, as he has one of the highest percentage of offensive production for his team coming into the season. The Steelers offense is stacked and having Bell for fantasy owners is a huge boost, even with him sitting out games with a suspension.
Lynch is coming back with a new contract and should be as consistent as always, while Carlos Hyde is taking over the job in San Fran. Lamar Miller has Jay Ajayi to give him some help at RB for the Dolphins, while Arian Foster and Charles are two of the most productive players coming into the season. Randle is expected to start for the Cowboys over Darren McFadden and he should get the bulk of the carries with DeMarco Murray now gone.
Joique Bell is another name to watch coming into the season, as he is expected to be the starter for the Lions. Bell has been out for camp and this offseason while coming back from injuries and owners could look at Theo Riddick or Ameer Abdullah as depth options. The Jets have a stable of running backs with Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell, Zac Stacy and Stevan Ridley on the roster and owners should look at handcuffing a couple of those names. Ivory comes in after being the starter last season, but with Chris Johnson gone, Ridley could be a solid pickup, as he should get work in the offense out of the backfield as a receiver as well.
The Raiders running back situation is interesting for this season and Latavius Murray is the player that owners should be looking to draft. Trent Richardson has more name recognition at the position, but he has not been off to a great start for Oakland, failing his conditioning test coming into camp for the Raiders. Even without that Murray was expected to start for Oakland and now Richardson has an uphill battle to make the team.
