The Brooklyn Nets will take to their home court for the first time at Barclays Center Monday against the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Even though this isn't the official home opener against the New York Knicks (Nov. 1), there is expected to be high attendance in the crowd.
The Nets are entering this game 1-0 in the preseason, while the Wizards are 1-2 while coming off of a win in their last game at Cleveland.
The Nets are coming off a 108-105 overtime victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in their preseason opener on Saturday night in Atlantic City, N.J.
Brook Lopez and C.J. Watson both had a team-high 19 points. Lopez added nine rebounds and three blocks. In their first game as backcourt mates, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson combined for 27 points and nine assists.
Monday's game tips off a stretch of four preseason games in five days for the Nets.
The Wizards will enter the game short-handed and will be without many of their key players including John Wall, Emeka Okafor, Nene, Chris Singleton, and Kevin Seraphin.
Seraphin will be the only Wizard who sits out due to injury, suffering a strained right calf in Saturday night's win against the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the game he was seen leaving the arena in a walking boot.
Seraphin averaged 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds a game last season, just his second year in the NBA.
