Dez Bryant scared Cowboy's fans at camp yesterday when he appeared to limp after he ran a route. The route came after a touchdown grab Bryant made in practice which he would celebrate by dunking on the crossbar.
Bryant gingerly walked to the other side of the field and was checked out by an athletic trainer. Afterword's Bryant was seen talking to Jason Garrett Cowboy's head coach, he did not return to practice. Bryant when walking to the locker room said "I'm OK, nothing major". He later tweeted "I'm ok...so Cowboynation don't worry."
Byrant has been making plays all over camp and often it looks as if he is playing at full speed already. This is the danger of going full speed in practice, injury. Bryant's injury ended up being a minor hamstring strain and will return to practice presumably on Saturday.
The Cowboys need to make sure they keep Bryant from over exerting himself in the offseason as he is an irreplaceable piece of the offense. The more notable injury of the day occurred to defensive end Kenneth Boatright who suffered a neck injury. He was able to move his legs after the injury however was taken to the hospital soon afterwords. The severity of Boatright's injury is unknown at this time.
