Portugal faces Group F rivals Northern Ireland as the European division is entering its fourth game of the first round at the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. It is all about the road to Brazil 2014.
So far in the tournament, Portugal is 2-1 with six points in the tournament and holding on to second place right behind Russia in the standings. They were undefeated until Friday when they dropped their match to the Russians. The Portugese fell 1-0.
As for Northern Ireland, they are only playing their third match of the qualifiers. The are 0-1-1 and searching for their first victory and stand in fourth place in the Group F standings.
It is important for the Portugese to win this match of they do not want to embarass themselves and miss out on the World Cup. Israel is breathing down their necks with the 1-1-1 record and four points.
Predictions: Soccer fanatics at Goal.com gave Portugal the overwhelming advantage in this match. 87 percent belive that Portugal will defeat Northern Ireland in tonight's match. Out of this percentage, 49 percent believe Portugal will shutout North Ireland. 22 precent predicted a 3-0 victory.
For the Northern Ireland crew, 10 percent of fans who voted say they would win and three percent believe the match will end in a draw.
