Spain and France will meet in Madrid at 3:00 p.m. ET as the struggle for power in Group I continues on.
After a narrow 1-0 victory over Georgia in their first qualifying match, Spain defeated Belarus 4-0 on Friday thanks to a marvelous hat trick by Barcelona winger Pedro.
Spaniard manager Vicente del Bosque is hoping to have Sergio Ramos back after the defender was forced to leave Friday's win over Belarus with a muscle injury. Spain is already without Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol, so Ramos' health will be a closely watched story in the lead-up to kickoff. Should Ramos be unable to go, Raúl Albiol seems the likely choice to start alongside Sergio Busquets.
France has opened qualifying quite well with a 3-1 win versus Belarus and a 1-0 victory over Finland, and is certainly capable of upsetting Spain.
France lost Clement Chantome during Friday's loss to Japan, but they are exepected to have Patrice Evra and Yohan Cabaye available for selection.
Chantome did not travel to Spain with the team and was not replaced on the squad.
