1. Who will look better, Johnny Manziel or RGIII?
Manziel is looking to reclaim his starting spot from Josh McCown after being woefully prepared last season. Now as a sophomore Manziel looks more polished and humbled so is he ready to be a starting quarterback in this league? RGIII has had injury after injury but after a whole offseason of healing can RGIII produce like the Redskins expect him too? RGIII has slowly been fading into the depth chart as injuries kept him out of most of last year's games. Now he will need to prove that a) he can stay healthy, B) he has the talent to take the Redskins to the next level.
2. How will rookie Brandon Scherff play?
On the first episode of HBO's Hard Knocks, rookie Brandon Scherff got absolutely manhandled by JJ Watt, with this rookie protecting RGIII can the Redskins franchise quarterback stay healthy. Scherff was the Redskins 1st round draft pick so he needs to fit the bill, any missteps in building that offensive line will just put RGIII and whoever starts at quarterback in quite a bit of danger.
3. How will the Redskins new defensive line look?
The Redskins signed Terrance "Potroast" Knighton, Stephen Paea, and drafted 2nd rounder Preston Smith. These are talented players who can instantly make an impact when paired with Ryan Kerrigan, Perry Riley, and Jason Hatcher. The Redskins will be able to generate more pressure, but will they be dominant?
4. Will the Brown's defense be better than they were in 2014?
The Browns drafted Danny Shelton and Nate Orchard early in the 2015 draft. Both of these guys are expected to be immediate starters on the defensive line and can bring a ton of power to stop the run. Alfred Morris will have a hard time getting away from Shelton and Orchard. The Browns also added Tramon Williams, who will start next to Joe Haden effectively solidifying their secondary. With Tashaun Gipson and Donte Whitner as their safeties the Browns may have one of the best secondary's in the league.
5. Which Brown's running back will start?
The Browns have been very conservative with Duke Johnson in training camp so his reps in this game are likely to be managed tightly. Isaiah Crowell will likely get the most reps in the game as he has been the healthiest back they have. Terrence West will likely get change of pace duty as he is currently in the dog house with Browns coaches for poor practicing habits.
