The Orlando Magic host the Indiana Pacers in an NBA preseason matchup with tipoff at 7 p.m. ET.

It is almost expected for the Magic to be off to their 0-4 start. They do not have Ryan Anderson, the leading three-point shooter in the NBA last season and, of course, Dwight Howard.

Anderson went to the New Orleans Hornets and Howard is with the Los Angeles Lakers.

They currently have five rookies in the roster and a of total nine players with one year or less on their roster. The Magic will depend on guys like Hedo Turkoglu, J.J. Reddick and Jameer Nelson to carry the load this season, which should have Orlando competing in the bottom of the standings.

Though the NBA is straying away from the typical dominant force down low, the Magic really do not have have a solid inside presence with the departure of Howard. The rest of these guys can make up for Anderson's three point abilities, but they cannot be dominant in the paint without Howard.

They face a Pacers team that eliminated them from the first round of the playoffs earlier this year.

Though the Pacers eventually lost to the NBA Champion Miami Heat, as a young team, they learned a couple of valuable lessons.

Firstly, do not physically try to intimidate the king, LeBron James because for every hard bump he will drop 20 points on you. Secondly, they gained playoff experience and come back with another year of experience under their belts.
