When Fulham takes on Aston Villa on Saturday, the team will welcome back two players to the starting lineup.
Following an injury that was thought to keep him out of action for five months, Fulham manager Martin Jol said that Mahamadou Diarra should return for the game along with Dimitar Berbatov.
"Diarra is back,'' the Fulham manager said to ESPNFC.com. ''He is almost a miracle, you know? I thought it would be a bit longer, but they always said it could be three or four weeks or possibly longer.
Berbatov was out for two weeks following a hip injury, but is fully healed and ready to go.
Fulham has had a strong start to the season, earning 10 points in seven matches. Chelsea sits atop the standings, while Saturday's opponent Aston Villa is in the bottom half with only five points.
''Everyone says they could have more points and it is not something I really worry about. I never look over my shoulder at what could have been," said Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert to ESPNFC.com. ''It's now that is in my thinking. But the performances have been good and we will just keep on going."
Fulham will be playing its fourth home game of the season and has scored 15 goals so far. Mladen Petric and Damien Duff have led the way with three goals, while Brian Ruiz has notched three assists.
Aston Villa has struggled scoring all year, netting only six goals while allowing 12.
