The big injuries to some of the NFL's best wide receivers this weekend has left the league stunned. These injuries however make room for some unlikely comebacks and that is where guys like Randy Moss come in. Moss recently stated,
"I have not lost the itch; I've been working out with a few guys during the offseason. I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know. That's the love for the game I have inside of me. The sky is the limit for me, Curt, so we'll just have to wait and see."
Teams that are currently clamoring for some capable wide receiver help such as the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, and Green Bay Packers could all be interested in signing the veteran if he were to come out of retirement, potentially setting himself up for a pretty big role in one of the most prolific offenses in the league.
The Packers could certainly use the help after suffering a big time injury in their week 2 preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers lost their star wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, to a torn ACL and he will miss the rest of the season.
The Patriots are always somewhat limited when it comes to wide receiver except when Moss played there in 2007. When Moss was a Patriot he set an NFL single season record with 23 touchdowns.
