There might be drama in the NLCS as the St. Louis Cardinals face the Giants in San Francisco. The Giants once again have home field advantage after staying alive with their 5-0 victory Friday night.

For the Giants, it has been inconsistent. It seems like they can only defeat the Cardinals when they shut them out as in their victories, the Giants have only allowed one run in their wins against St. Louis.

It is hard to shutout or hold the St. Louis batting lineup to just one run, but the Giants have been able to manage despite starting two lefties against a mostly right-handed middle of the Cardinals' order.

Barry Zito surprised everybody, pitching like the Zito of the early 00's. He went 7.2 innings allowing just six hits and one walk. He struck out six Cardinals.

With the pitching performance, the Giants were able to stay alive. Pablo Sandoval continued to dominate at the plate, smacking his second home run in as many days. He went 2-4 and scored two runs.

For Sunday's Game 6, the Cardinals will need to bring the offense that smacked Chris Carpenter out of Game 2 in the fourth inning. The Cardinals were not optimal on defense, but the Gants took advantage, scoring five runs though only two were earned.

The Cardinals offense has been on fire though they weer shutout. The Giants' bottom of the order continues to produce for them.

Ryan Vogelsong will be on the hill for the Giants. He was the winner of Game 2.
