Marshawn Lynch, the only NFL running back inspired by Skittles has gotten fined again.
The fine is for $75,000 for not answering questions or taking interviews after the NFC Championship game. The fine will not result in a lack of playing time or a suspension but they are still pretty annoying when you get to the crux of the issue.
If an exhausted Marshawn Lynch does not make himself available to the media after a draining playoff game that is completely understandable. Lynch has also been fined $20,000 dollars for grabbing his crotch in the NFC Championship game as well. In fact, the NFL has fined him every chance they have got which is weird for a player who routinely stays out of off the field trouble.
Lynch will be appealing the fine on Thursday so it will be interesting to hear what the star running back has to say about this. During the media blitz before Super Bowl XLIX he answered every reporter's question with "I'm just here so I won't get fined."
The league does not fine teams for getting into brawls during joint practices or amongst themselves however they think it is alright to fine a guy almost $100,000 because he won't talk to the media, only in the NFL.
