The New York Giants host the Washington Redskins in their Week 7 matchup. It will be a battle between two NFC East teams.
For the Giants, it has been about Elli Manning's leadership on offense and his ability to win games without key players like his no. 1 wideout Hakeem Nicks. Victor Cruz has stepped up when needed and unsung heroes like Domenik Hixon, Ramses Barden and tight end Martellus Bennett have filled in the void.
Ahmad Bradshaw has been leading the rush in New York and it seems like New York finally has a running game to give the Giants another threat on offense. He has two consecutive 100+ rushing games and had the first triple-digit running game against the San Francisco 49ers defense last Sunday.
For Robert Griffin III, he has already been warned. Jason Pierre-Paul told the rookie quarterback that he should not run the ball by his side, or else, RGIII would pay for it.
This shows that even though RGIII is off to a great start and gaining respect of the league little by little, this matchup is about rivalry and JPP welcomed in the rookie in the world of trash talk .
The Redskins defeated the Giants twice last season with Rex Grossman behind center. RGIII's skill sets are far superior to those Grossman possessed. Their weakness however, is on defense and if anybody can find holes in a secondary, Eli Manning will be the one to do it.
