NFL Predictions: Lions vs. Bears, Cutler and Gang Will Prove They are for Real in Monday Night Football Matchup

Oct 22, 2012 01:40 PM EDT

The first place Chicago Bears are playing at home as the Detroit Lions will march into Soldier Field for Week 7's Monday Night Football matchup between to NFC North teams.

The Bears are on a roll and are coming off a bye week where they were able to rest their players. Before the bye, they powered through their last three matchups after being embarrassed by the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 on a national stage.

They are third in the league in points scored and have allowed the least points in the league giving up just 14.2 points per game. They held the St. Louis Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars to just three field goals combined.

They terrorized Tony Romo and intercepted him five times.

For the Lions, they are coming off a big win against the Philadelphia Eagles. It would be a great time for this team to start winning if they see themselves competing again in the NFL playoffs.

They are currently the only team in the NFC North with a record under .500. They are 10th in the league in scoring averaging 25.2 points a game, but their defense is giving up just a little bit over 27 points a game.

That is not a winning formula.

Score Prediction: Jay Cutler seems to have things figured out. Though his numbers are not excellent, Look for Cutler to throw for around 250 yards and two touchdowns, which is a lot points for a Bears' defense. This game will finish 23-17 in favor of the Bears.

*So far in the season I am 2-1 in my Monday Night Football game predictions. Would have been 3-0, but that Packers vs. Seahawks game blew it for me.
