The former New York Giant Stevie Brown has been reunited with his old team once again.
Brown signed a free agent deal with the Texans in May however the team cut him with enough time left in the preseason so he could land with another team. Brown had his best statistical year with the Giants in 2012, where he had 76 tackles and eight interceptions.
Brown was dealt a cruel blow when he was hit with a season ending injury (torn ACL) in 2013. There has been a noticeable drop off in his play since the injury which is likely why the Texans released him.
Brown is currently healthy and will likely look for a starting role in the Giant's defense. Brown came in for a physical on Sunday in football shape and ready to play.
The Giants secondary has been decimated by injuries; they have lost four safeties in two weeks. The Giants saw Bennett Jackson, Mykkele Thompson, and Justin Currie all suffer season ending injuries and Nat Berhe just underwent surgery. Brown will likely start next to rookie Landon Collins who has had his own injury problems as well, dealing with a sprained MCL.
