The Minnesota Vikings have Teddy Bridgewater coming in for year two and with Adrian Peterson reinstated, the offense could be much better in 2015. Peterson is the top fantasy football option for the team, while players like Charles Johnson, Mike Wallace, Kyle Rudolph and Bridgewater are solid fantasy starters for owners.
Bridgewater was very solid in his rookie season and he showed that he can handle being an NFL quarterback. Bridgewater played in 13 games last season and threw for nearly 3000 yards with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Bridgewater should be improved in year two and with Peterson in the backfield, the rushing attack should be much more consistent. Last season Peterson was out for all but one game after dealing with off the field issues, but now he is back and ready to start again.
There was never any question that Peterson would be the starter again and he comes in ahead of Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata on the depth chart. Peterson only had 21 rushes for 75 yards last season, but he put up some monster numbers his last two full years for the Vikings. After tearing his ACL, Peterson went for 2097 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012 before putting up 1266 yards and 10 scores in 2013. Peterson is considered to be one of the best fantasy picks in all of football this season.
Jerick McKinnon is a solid handcuff in case and injury happens, as he got some solid work last season playing for Peterson. McKinnon rushed for 538 yards and had 27 catches out of the backfield as a rookie last season. The Vikings brought in Mike Wallace in a trade with the Dolphins and he can help open things up for Bridgewater and offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Charles Johnson, Cordarrelle Paterson and Jairus Wright all could see more looks with Wallace helping take some of the defensive focus, as the Vikes did not have a true number one option last season.
Johnson is considered to be a very solid sleeper this season for fantasy owners and he comes in after making 31 catches for 475 yards last season. Turner has praised Johnson this summer and he is expected to start alongside Wallace for Bridgewater. Kyle Rudolph is a strong tight end option and he comes in after dealing with injuries the past two seasons. As long as Rudolph can stay healthy he is a good starter option, as he had 53 catches for 493 yards and nine touchdowns in his last full season with the Vikings.
