The world's No. 1 in Men's Singles, Roger Federer, continues to roll in the Swiss Indoors Bassel and will face Frenchman, Benoit Paire in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Federer, who is going for his fifth straight title, has cruised through the first rounds in his home grounds.
Recently he defeated Thomaz Bellucci in the 2nd round of the tourney before advancing to the semifinals. The final score in that match, as you can see was pretty close, 6-3, 6(6)-7(8), 7-5.
For Benoit Paire it has been a long path to victory as the 23-year-old comes into the tournament unranked, yet still alive and well in the tournament, despire now facing the most unstoppable man in the sport today.
Paire is 52nd in the world in the ATP Rankings. He first got rid of Andreas Seppi, who came into the Swiss Indoors Bassel ranked 5th 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. He then dimissed Lukasz Kubot in two straight sets 6-4,6-4 to advance into the semifinals.
Paire has been a pro since 2007 and has yet to win any titles in 2012.
