Denver Broncos:
C.J. Anderson/Ronnie Hillman (Running Back): Anderson was rumored to have turf toe after week one however from appearing in a limited role in practice that might not be the case. Anderson should play but it would not surprise me to see him put on a snap count. If running the ball becomes a necessity than expect Ronnie Hillman to get the heavier workload in the trenches. Anderson is a cautious RB2 this week.
Demaryius Thomas (Wide Receiver): Thomas struggled mightily in his first game as the Broncos offense sputtered. He was injured late in the game with what appeared to be a hand injury however he has been practicing in full for most of the week and is starting on Thursday. Thomas should be a WR1 going into this game but if this offense continues to struggle it might be time to hit the panic button.
Peyton Manning (Quarterback): Manning is in decline there is no way around it. 39 year old quarterbacks do not turn back the clock, and no this does not mean Manning will never have a solid game but temper your expectations in terms of production. Manning will be pressured in this game and if he struggles than the Broncos have a bigger problem on their hands.
Emmanuel Sanders (Wide Receiver): Sanders should have a bigger role in this game as Demaryius Thomas should see the most coverage. Sanders who normally lines up in the slot could see some outside routes considering the ineffectiveness of the Broncos passing game.
Kansas City Chiefs:
Alex Smith (Quarterback): Smith had a great game last week, with Kelce and Charles playing their best football early Smith can be in line for some big numbers. Maclin will be ready to go after tweaking his back in week 1 so the Chiefs have a solid opportunity to pounce on a struggling Broncos team.
Jamaal Charles (Running Back): Charles has become more of a receiving back this season this gives him an edge in PPR leagues. Charles is an RB1 for his matchup against the Broncos.
Jeremy Maclin (Wide Receiver): Maclin is returning from a minor back injury after week 1. He should be able to put up numbers with the Broncos defense focused on the run.
Travis Kelce (Tight End): Kelce had a monster game in week 1 finishing with 2 touchdowns. The Broncos had trouble keeping tight ends covered in 2014 so it should be no surprise if he has another big game. He is a TE1 for this matchup.
