The Kansas City Chiefs are playing against the Denver Broncos in Week 2 and players like Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce, Jamaal Charles, Albert Wilson and Knile Davis are the best fantasy start options for the game. Eric Fisher missed the Week 1 game against the Texans and he is probable for Thursday night.
The Chiefs opened the season with a dominating win over the Texans and the offense put up 27 points to start in Week 1 and now they face a tougher D in the Broncos. Alex Smith had a strong start with 243 yards and three touchdowns and he is a solid fantasy option for this week. The Chiefs can be a hit or miss team on offense, but after adding Jeremy Maclin in the offseason, things could open up in the passing game much more.
Charles is one of the best running backs in the league and he always gets his numbers, but the Chiefs also could have a potent passing game this season. Smith had 18 touchdowns last season and zero of those were to wide receivers and while he still hasn't connected yet this season, he likely will get that done soon. Maclin was very productive with the Eagles and he started off with five receptions for 52 yards in Week 1 for his Chiefs debut.
Last season Maclin put up career numbers with 85 catches for 1318 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Eagles and he is the main option for the Chiefs over Jason Avant, Chris Conley and Albert Wilson. Travis Kelce is one of the best tight end starters for fantasy this season and he comes in after a great debut with six catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Kelce was listed on the injury report with a hip issue heading into Thursday, but he is expected to play in Week 2. Last season Kelce had a breakout season with 67 catches for 862 yards and five touchdowns for the Chiefs.
Charles is likely to get a lot of work against the Broncos, as Denver has one of the best secondary units in the league and could force KC to keep the ball on the ground. Charles had 16 rushes for 57 yards and added five catches for 46 yards and one touchdown against the Texans. Charles is always going to be in the mix in the passing game and that makes him one of the best PPR options in the league. Albert Wilson is an option in deeper leagues, as he has emerged as the second WR for the Chiefs. Wilson had three catches for 25 yards and he played all but 13 offensive snaps for the Chiefs.
Eric Fisher did not play in Week 1 of the season for the Chiefs and he is probable for the game on Thursday with an ankle injury. Andy Reid said it was his decision not to play Fisher against the Texans and he is expected to play if his ankle is not an issue. Jah Reid started for Fisher in the game against the Texans.
