The NFL Sunday schedule is active and some early headlines for the day include Jay Cutler dealing with an injury, Odell Beckham Jr. dominating the Falcons and the Steelers putting up points against the 49ers.
Cutler was having a solid game against the Arizona Cardinals, but he was forced to leave in the first half after getting injured. Cutler was injured trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception to Tony Jefferson, which was returned for a touchdown to give the Cardinals a significant lead.
The score gave the Cardinals a 28-14 at the time and Jimmy Clausen came in and took over for Cutler. Cutler was perfect on his eight throws before that interception and he also had a touchdown in the game. Cutler tried to bring down Jefferson, but Jefferson pushed through the tackle and that forced Cutler out.
The Giants and Falcons are playing early and New York took the lead in the first half and pushed it to 20-10 coming out of halftime. Odell Beckham has been playing very well and he had six catches for 139 yards and a touchdown all in the first half.
Beckham made a huge play on a crossing pattern and took it 67-yards for a score. The Giants also have been getting some strong play from Shane Vereen, who helped set up the second half opening score with a 37-yard catch and run and before that he had seven receptions in the game.
The Steelers have been dominating the San Francisco 49ers and both Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger have put up big numbers. Brown had six catches for 127 yards early in the fourth quarter, while Big Ben had two touchdowns and over 250 yards passing.
