Fantasy Start Em Sit Em Colts and Jets: TY Hilton, Chris Ivory Play? Brandon Marshall, Donte Moncrief, Frank Gore, Andrew Luck Week 2

Sep 21, 2015 03:29 PM EDT

The Indianapolis Colts and NY Jets are playing on Monday night football and some fantasy football players to start or sit in the game include TY Hilton, Chris Ivory, Brandon Marshall, Donte Moncrief, Frank Gore, Andrew Luck, Bilal Powell and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Hilton has been dealing with a knee injury, but for fantasy owners he is a START option based on reports from earlier on Monday. According to league sources, Pro Football Talk reports that TY Hilton will be active for the game on Monday night. Chris Ivory is another important player to watch, as he is the best RB option for the Jets and came into the week as questionable. According to Jason La Canfora at CBS, Ivory is expected to play on Monday night and is a START option.

Andrew Luck and the Colts had a terrible game last week and they need to get going against the Jets, Luck is a hard START option along with Hilton, Moncrief and Frank Gore, as the team could put up some points despite the Jets having a strong defense. The Colts play great at home and they should bounce back from their bad performance last week against the Bills. Brandon Marshall is a START option for the Jets, while Powell is a SIT pick if Ivory plays.

The Colts made significant additions in the offseason with Andre Johnson and Frank Gore and those veterans could give Luck the chance to put up record numbers this season. Last season Luck was one of the best players in the NFL and in fantasy football, as he threw for 40 touchdowns and had over 4700 passing yards. TY Hilton was stellar, but the team dealt with some injuries at RB and WR and now they have more depth with Johnson and Gore coming in.

Luck is a top player and fantasy owners should look up and down the offense to find quality players for this season. Hilton is obviously the best option overall on offense for Luck and he is coming in after signing an extension in the offseason. Hilton just signed for $65 million and he could be motivated to have a big year to show why he got that money. Hilton is dealing with that knee issue, but he has made some good progress and is worth the risk on Monday night.

Hilton comes in after putting up 82 catches last season for a career best 1345 yards and seven touchdowns. Hilton has always had big play ability and he showed that last season for Luck and now with Johnson on the team, Hilton could see even better looks from defenses. Johnson has been one of the best receivers in NFL history while with the Texans and he could have a solid year with the rival Colts. Last season Johnson made 85 catches for 936 yards while being overshadowed by DeAndre Hopkins and numbers in that range again would be welcome for the Colts. Johnson and Gore are off to slow starts, but should pick up in the coming weeks.
