Tennessee Titans
Marcus Mariota (Quarterback): Mariota came back down to Earth in week 2 after one of the best rookie performances of all time in week 1. Against a tough Browns pass defense Mariota completed 21 of 37 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns. This was another good performance from the rookie however he fumbled three times thanks in part to terrible offensive line play by the Titans. Mariota proved however his stock is not as shaky as his doubters believed and could provide a great lift for fantasy owners who need a quarterback on their bye week.
Bishop Sankey (Running Back): The Titans were playing in catch up mode for most of the game which led to Sankey's less than stellar day but this line did not help either. Sankey finished the day with 12 carries for 42 yards with no touchdowns. The most reliable person in this offense is Marcus Mariota.
Kendall Wright (Wide Receiver): Kendall Wright owners were sent hiding underneath their beds after the nightmare day the Wright had. He finished the game catching 2 out of 4 of his targets for 17 yards. This is probably one of the largest swings in regards to points a player has had in a while. This only proved that the Tennessee offense is not as clear cut as it appeared in week 1.
Cleveland Browns
Duke Johnson/Isaiah Crowell (Running Backs): Duke Johnson played second fiddle to Crowell as he only had 12 carries for 43 yards. But Crowell had a spectacular day, carrying the ball 15 times for 72 yards and a touchdown. This backfield has been blackballed by fantasy owners however Cleveland could be in for a resurgence if they keep running the ball this well.
Johnny Manziel (Quarterback): Manziel had a nice day on the field completing 8 out of 15 of his passing attempts for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. Manziel is only a quarterback to own in deeper leagues however his play in recent weeks deserves some attention.
Waiver Wire Targets
Dexter McCluster (TEN)(Running Back): Where Sankey failed McCluster succeeded, having 10 carries on the day which racked up 98 yards on the ground. McCluster caught all 4 of his targets for 26 yards and proved to be a solid option for this Tennessee offense. McCluster is the passing down back and could have earned some more reps during earlier downs however that remains to be seen.
Travis Benjamin (CLE) (Wide Receiver): Benjamin had another big game and it seemingly is becoming a trend. Benjamin caught 3 out of 4 of his targets and gained 115 yards through the air. Benjamin hauled in 2 touchdowns which only adds to his fantasy value especially when Johnny Manziel is on the field.
